Journal 22 November 17th

Okay so Christmas is right around the corner now, so I have decided to take on a couple of fun Christmas songs, to help me calm down after drugging my way through Fur Elise; it certainly isn’t perfect yet, but I am getting there, I still need to work on the ridiculous block, but I think I have the chromatic scale down pat, and I need to work on the timing of the chords. I keep thinking that it is 4:4 timing instead of 3:8 timing which keeps messing me up. So my simple Christmas songs are from my level one book, I am not trying to stress myself too much, and more importantly I don’t want to go out and buy a new song book, so I am doing Jingle Bells, Deck the Halls, I am still keeping up with silent night and I wish you a merry Christmas. So those are some pretty fun songs to be able to play around the holidays, I play so much now that I am starting to annoy my family, especially since I got my new piano. I am dreading transposing Fur Elise, I guess I have had it pretty easy throughout my senior project because playing piano is so fun and even theory has its moments but actually sitting down and transposing something is real work, especially with a song
